Brick Clay Moisture

Traditionally, when manufacturing brick clay, moisture has been controlled and monitored manually, but a MoistTech sensor will allow for a much more accurate reading and, as a result, a brick clay product of a much higher quality. A correct mix consistency is absolutely necessary and much easier to achieve with a sensor. If the exact moisture level is known, the drying time for a mix can be easily calculated, reducing wasted time, resources, and rejected mixes.

Keep Track of the Moisture in Brick Clay with MoistTech

With over 40 years of experience, MoistTech can help you control brick clay moisture. As a world leader in NIR moisture measurement technology, our sensors will give you the most accurate and repeatable measurements during your production and quality control process.

Thanks to input from our industry partners, we have been able to develop the premier NIR moisture sensor, capable of giving you instant and continuous measurements.

Trust in the Accuracy of Our Sensors

You will always be aware of the moisture levels in brick clay with our IR-3000 sensor. Mounted above the line, it sends readings to a computer that can sound an alarm or make automatic adjustments when necessary. The IR-3000 can also measure temperature, chemical composition, coating thickness, and other important variables with high accuracy.

Typical moisture accuracy is about ± 0.05%, with coating accuracy varying from 0.1 to 0.01 micron, depending on the coating type. A typical analog range is 0-10% moisture. The outputs can be adjusted to optimize recording requirements or PLC.

Before it’s shipped, the sensor is preset, so it requires no calibration maintenance. Unlike other sensors, the IR-3000 is able to take both bulk measurements and measurements of small gaps in material.
